Linguist

Overview

We are looking for a “Linguist” who will be responsible for improvements in Sestek’s Natural Language Processing and Speech Processing projects.  If you are passionate about languages and technology, we believe this position is just for you!

Sestek is a global technology company helping organizations with Conversational Solutions to be data-driven, increase efficiency and deliver better experiences for their customers. Sestek’s AI-powered solutions are built by a team of 100+ engineers working on text-to-speech, speech recognition, natural language processing, and voice biometrics technologies. Recently we have been acquired by Unifonic, a leading Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) provider. We are now an international organization of 500+ young people.

 

What we expect :

• Conduct research on the phonological, morphological, and syntactic structures of new languages to be integrated into Sestek products, and ensure their successful integration
• Onboard speakers for speech synthesis, communicate with existing ones and oversee recording and editing processes.
• When necessary, onboard consultants for new languages, manage their processes, and provide education on in-house resources to the consultants.
• Analyze and correct critical company data on pronunciations of words based on their written form

 

Who we are looking for :

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics or Translation and Interpreting
• Having strong language skills in Turkish and English
• Any other language especially Arabic language skills will be a huge plus
• Having strong knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)
• Having strong communication and team player skills
