SESTEK PRIVACY STATEMENT ON EMPLOYEE CANDIDATE PERSONAL DATA

As Sestek Ses ve İletişim Teknolojileri A.Ş. (“Sestek” Or “Company”), We respect and attach importance to the privacy of private life. For this reason, we would like to inform you about your rights regarding using and protecting your personal data under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.

a) Data Controller

As SESTEK, we process your personal data as the data controller within the scope of Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and other relevant legislation.

b) The Purpose of Processing Personal Data and Legal Reasons

Your personal data in the categories of identity, communication, and professional experience are processed within the scope of the following purposes, based on the legal reasons specified.

  • Execution of the application processes of employee candidates,
  • Execution of activities in accordance with the legislation,
  • Planning of human resources processes,
  • Execution of the assignment processes,

KVKK m.5 (2) (c): Processing of personal data of the parties of a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract.

 

*Please make sure that your CV does not contain special categories of personal data (information about your race, ethnicity, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, your dress, association, foundation or union membership, health, sexual life, criminal conviction, and security measures about you). We kindly ask you not to include personal data that you do not prefer to be processed in your resume and not to upload files containing this data.

**If your job application is accepted, information and documents regarding your criminal record will be requested.

c) Collection Method of Personal Data

Your personal data will be obtained verbally, in writing, or electronically through the following methods, based on the legal reasons set out in Articles 5 (2) and 6 of the KVKK, to fulfill the purposes in paragraph (b) of this text:

  • Submission of the CV by the Employee/Trainee candidate,
  • Transmission of information by the person referred to,
  • Via career websites,
  • Filling in the job application form or giving information during the job interview,
  • Submission of CVs by the Employee/Trainee candidate,
  • The channels through which you contact us physically and electronically within the scope of the business relationship between you and the company,

d) To Whom and For What Purpose the Processed Personal Data Can Be Transferred

In case you are foreign personnel, your personal data is transferred to authorized public institutions and organizations to fulfill our legal responsibilities without seeking your explicit consent, pursuant to Article 8 (2) (a) of the KVKK, within the scope of the work permit procedures.

e) International Transfer

Information and communication technology applications and software (“IT Systems”) (Microsoft Office365 e-mail software and online meeting and remote connection software) will be used within the scope of the conduct of our business activities. The infrastructure and databases of these services are located abroad. If you choose to contact our company through these channels, your personal data will be transferred abroad.

f) Rights of The Data Subject

Within the scope of Article 11 of KVKK, the data subject has the following rights and if he/she wishes, he/she can use his/her rights by reaching the data controller in the methods determined by him/her:

  • To learn whether personal data is being processed,
  • To make requests regarding the nature of information held and to whom it has been disclosed,
  • To learn the processing purpose of personal data and whether it is used in accordance with this purpose,
  • To be informed about the third parties that the personal data is transferred local or abroad and to make a notification as regards the transactions made,
  • To demand correction for the personal data that is processed as deficient or incorrect and to notify third parties about this,
  • To demand the deletion of the personal data of which reason to process is no more available, even if the data is processed in accordance with the related law,
  • To object to any result against the data subject,
  • To demand compensation in case of any damage caused by illegal processing of personal data,

g)  Exercises of Rights of Data Subject

In accordance with KVKK regulations, in cases you have inquiries on your rights, mentioned hereinbelow, by completing the Data Subject Application Form you can send it to the address; Ayazağa Mahallesi Vadistanbul Bulvar Cendere Caddesi No:109/B 1B Blok Ofis No:4, 34396 Sarıyer/İstanbul along with ID verification documents either by hand or via postage services or by sending an email to privacy@sestek.com. You may also use the other methods stated in the Communiqué on the Application Procedure and Principles to the Data Controller. All queries will be answered within 30 days of receipt. If the transaction requires an additional cost, the tariff set by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board will be charged.
